On the high energy side me and my colleagues are studying the absorption variability of Seyfert Galaxies using X-ray spectroscopy - an useful technique to probe circumnuclear matter temporary obscuring our line of sight towards the bright nucleus harbouring a Super-Massive Black Hole. The figure shown here represents an example Suzaku XIS/HXD spectrum of NGC 3227.
I am furthermore dealing with radio polarimetry techniques probing physical processes in jets of AGN. A long term calibration study of the F-GAMMA (MPIfR & Fermi) blazars with the 100-m Effelsberg Telescope (see figure below) is an equabeuchert-3lly important part of that work as the data analysis of Effelsberg Single Dish as well as interferometry data by TANAMI and MOJAVE.
As part of the TANAMI collaboration I am further focusing on the sample sources measured with INTEGRAL.
Dealing with X-ray detectors I am working on a telemetry study for the MIRAX/HXI coded mask instrument on board of the Brazilian "Lattes" satellite.
